Last weekend we traveled to Riverside for a bit of water polo. It was a great weekend of much milder temperatures than the Central Valley. Over all, the Menlo Park Mavens placed seventh after two disappointing losses.
It also have me a chance to use my longer telephoto lens and relax while enjoying the sun and sport.

At the very end of spring I took some snips to my 4-year old hibiscus and bougainvillea plants. It turns out, now that summer heat is descending on Bakersfield, the pruning has helped the plants blossom, grow and increase leafed branches over past years.
Tonight we met up with a friend for dinner. I snuck in a photo as we were leaving. The movie theater seemed very empty for 6:30 pm. on a Friday night.
